Roots of Green Arenas
In our first few episodes, we literally just decided to go impromptu to discuss a few topics concerning the environment that were so very basic, but which Robert thought we have STILL not grasped as a community. Quality of life topics that collectively, add up to become the sum of basic ABC's of environmental concerns, would be the launch of Green Arenas.
Littering, Lawn Chemical use, Loud (excessive and needless) noise pollution and even the loss of tree canopies in metro-areas, were a focus of conversation to address AND, to share ideas how a community can abate these issues, and WHY they should.
We discuss how the latest conservation movements have all but missed the boat on these very elementary components, that become the total collective sum of a problem upon which most environmental discussion is focused on the back end.
We suggest that if collectively we can be a part of creating the whole of a problem, then collectively we can be a part of reducing or minimizing a problem.
So, as we quickly and randomly got together to dive right in and start this program, needless to say, our early episodes were by no means a work of fine tuned media art! Yes, we were highly charged and passionate to talk!
So, rather than strive for program perfection at that time, we knew the raw content topics were of significance and value. It was for this reason we decided to let them air without much editing or pretentiousness, and present our hosts as they'd be if they were to be having a discussion at a kitchen roundtable over coffee.
This, was the root; the heart and soul of Green Arenas and a desire to make this program a "message in a bottle" for all times, seeing that such simple ideas for a better world, have been largely overlooked.

Our Tech-Organic Promise!
Our hosts aim to keep things "Tech-Lite" or "Tech-Organic," as Robert describes it, whenever possible. Robert's only equipment is a Radio Shack cassette recorder, an omni mic, and our guest! Kim and Jeremy utilize their computers without the need of artificial intelligence or additional advanced technology. As for Robert's recordings, the tapes are transferred digitally using a digitizer, and no AI is involved in that process either.
